About Us
Support That Meets You Where You Are

A Message From our Founder
Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Dania Martinez-Heng, and I’m the founder of Stonebridge Counseling. Stonebridge was created from a deep belief that healing happens best when people feel safe, seen, and supported, without judgment and without pressure.
As a therapist, business owner, a wife, and a mom in a beautifully blended family with little ones running around, I understand how complex life can be. I also know how hard it can be to pause, take a breath, and say, “I need support.” That step alone takes courage.
Stonebridge is more than a counseling practice. It’s a community. We are a group of compassionate, highly trained therapists who believe therapy should feel human — not clinical or intimidating. We meet you where you are, move at your pace, and work collaboratively to help you find clarity, relief, and growth.
We also believe deeply in training and inspiring therapists. Many of our clinicians are mentored, supported, and continuously learning so they can show up grounded, confident, and present for the people they serve. When therapists are supported, clients receive better care — and that matters to us.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, relationships, parenting, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you don’t have to do it alone. We are honored to walk alongside you.
Thank you for trusting us with your story.
With warmth,
Dania Martinez-Heng, LMFT 103041

I believe deeply in the power of human connection, growth, and healing. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental, and client-centered approach where you are free to explore your story at your own pace. To me, therapy is a sacred space, one where your truth is honored, your pain is held with care, and your potential for change is always seen.
Taking the first step toward support can feel incredibly difficult, and also deeply courageous.
You don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you through challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, identity exploration, grief and loss, childhood trauma, and life transitions. I bring experience working with children, teens, and adults, and I strive to create a culturally sensitive and inclusive space for every client.

Chico has been my beloved home for the past 21 years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in

Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. This community has shaped me, and I feel honored to give back through my work as a therapist. Outside of the office, I love spending time outdoors, watching my kids play soccer, connecting with friends, and cuddling with my dog.
Wherever you are in your journey, I look forward to meeting you—right where you’re at.

Marla Christensen, AMFT, APCC
Associate Marriage & Family Therapist #144786
Associate Professional Clinical Counselor #15771

Hi! I’m Marla Christensen, and I’m so glad you’re here. As an Associate Marriage and Family
Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, I feel honored to walk alongside people during life’s toughest moments and biggest transitions.
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a warm, safe partnership. My approach is all about meeting you exactly where you are and creating a space where you can breathe, be yourself, and find your own path forward. What lights me up most is helping my clients discover their own voice, empowering them to make meaningful changes, and learning to use their personal agency in ways that feel authentic and strong. I love blending different approaches like Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy, self-compassion practices, and looking at the whole picture of your life, while also providing practical psychoeducation, skills, and tools you can use in your everyday life to find what works uniquely for you.
I work with teens, adults, couples, and families, and I’m especially passionate about helping with grief, loss, anxiety, relationship struggles, communication, and trauma healing. I’m always learning and growing too – I’m trained in Brainspotting, certified in grief work, and continuing to expand my training because I believe you deserve the best care possible. I earned my Master’s in
Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and my Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California State University, Chico.
When I’m not in session, I’m usually with my big, beautiful blended family – five kids and two stepkids. I love long walks with my husband (who’s also a therapist), cooking meals that bring everyone together, getting lost in books (I definitely have way too many!), and learning from my own journey and all the messiness and beauty of real life.
Life can feel really hard sometimes, and that’s okay. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
Whether you’re grieving, anxious, working through relationship challenges, struggling with a crisis, or just ready to grow, I’m here to support you with genuine care and understanding. Let’s take this journey together, one step at a time.

Michele Thorpe, ACSW
Hi, I’m Michele. Even if you’re here because you’re considering therapy, I want you to know how proud of yourself you should be for taking a step towards healing, and embodying a life you feel good about!
I’m an Associate Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting teens, young adults and individuals as they navigate challenges with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma and grief. I’m passionate about helping people who feel stunted by the past or stuck in the present, explore how early experiences – especially those tied to attachment, safety and loss – shape current patterns, relationships, and self-views. In better understanding these connections, I believe all clients have the potential to find greater freedom and healing from past experiences, and achieve meaningful change in the present.
My approach is very human and prioritizes connection. I want therapy to feel collaborative and authentic so conversation and healing occur naturally; never forcing, only inviting, and always respecting your process. I’m committed to being a knowledgeable resource – pulling from evidence based modalities and practices – while believing wholeheartedly that you are the expert of your own reality, and never something to be fixed. I believe healing happens in the balance between finding solutions, and purely being heard. My goal is to offer my clients both... finding moments to laugh, breathe and “be” along the way.
I look forward to helping you discover what healing looks like for you, honoring your story, and celebrating the courage it takes to show up for yourself!

Rosaura Manzo, ACSW
Clinical Program Manager
Associate Clinical Social Worker #128749
Supervised by Laurie Taylor, LMFT #90687
Hola! Hello! I’m Rosaura, a first-generation Latina who enjoys her conchas and coffee ☕️✨ I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker passionate about holding space for healing, growth, and resilience across the lifespan.
As a bilingual therapist (Spanish/English), I work with children (ages 6+), teens, adults, and families, including parents navigating challenges within foster/adoption care and family systems. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing complex and intergenerational trauma, anxiety disorders, Eating Disorders, and those living with psychosis. I also work with neurodivergent clients (ADHD, ASD, PTSD, OCD) and provide compassionate, safety-focused support for those navigating suicidal thoughts.
My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and integrative. I draw from somatic therapy, EMDR, and other evidence-based practices, with a strong focus on body-based interventions to support nervous system regulation and deeper healing. I believe that healing happens not just through insight, but through reconnecting with the body and restoring a sense of safety within ourselves. As Peter Levine states,
“Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness.”
I understand the unique experiences of navigating multiple identities, cultural expectations, and systemic barriers as a Latina. My goal is to create a therapeutic space that feels empowering, inclusive, and grounded in authenticity—where your story is seen, honored, and supported.
In addition to individual therapy, I offer couples therapy focused on connection, communication, and healing relational patterns.
Outside of the therapy room, I find balance through hiking, Pilates, reading, and enjoying a good drama series or true crime podcast.
Whether you’re seeking to heal, reconnect, or simply be seen, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey.
Suzanne Kopecki, AMFT
Associate Marriage & Family Therapist #149257
Supervised by Laura Wilbur, LMFT #111781
I am passionate about supporting teens and adult women in reconnecting with their voice, deepening self-trust, and stepping into their most authentic selves. I approach therapy as a collaborative and deeply attuned process, where careful listening, presence, and responsiveness guide the work and allow each client’s unique needs to lead the way.
I view therapy as a sacred, healing space—one where you can feel seen, safe, and supported as you explore your inner world. My work is rooted in a relational and somatic lens, recognizing that our experiences, especially trauma, are held not only in the mind but also in the body. Together, we gently explore these patterns, honoring your pace and discovering the pathways that support your individual healing.
I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, offering trauma-informed, holistic care that respects the complexity of each person’s story. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing; rather, it is a deeply personal journey. Through a grounded and responsive approach, I help you tune into your inner experience, build awareness of your emotional and physical cues, and develop tools that foster regulation, clarity, and resilience.
In our work together, I see myself as both a witness and a guide—walking alongside you, holding space as you access your own inner wisdom and capacity for growth. My intention is to support you in cultivating a stronger connection to yourself, so you can move through life with greater alignment, confidence, and ease.
If you’re ready to begin or deepen your healing journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Hannah Elliott, AMFT 160870
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist Supervised by Maya DeNola, Licensed Clinical Social Worker 97809
Hi! My name is Hannah Elliott, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I’m a relational, down-to-earth therapist who believes healing happens best when people feel genuinely seen, safe, and understood. I meet clients where they are, using a strength-based, collaborative approach that draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to each individual, couple, or family. Therapy with me is relaxed, supportive, and human—I bring curiosity, compassion, and a fun sense of humor into the room, because growth doesn’t have to feel stiff or intimidating.
I work with adults and couples navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, and family-of-origin wounds. At the heart of my work is helping people heal old patterns, reconnect with their inner strengths, and move toward their full potential—both individually and in their relationships.
I particularly enjoy couples therapy and supporting partners as they navigate communication breakdowns, attachment wounds, trust issues, and major life stressors. My approach helps couples slow things down, understand one another more deeply, and build healthier, more secure connections.
I’m also deeply passionate about women’s mental health, especially during transitional stages such as perimenopause and menopause. I support women as they navigate emotional shifts, identity changes, relationships, and neurodivergence during this often under-recognized season of life.
In addition, I specialize in adult diagnosis of ADHD and love helping clients connect the dots between their lived experiences and how their brains work. Understanding long-standing patterns related to attention, organization, emotional regulation, and self-esteem often brings immense relief and opens the door to kinder, more sustainable ways of navigating daily life.
As an expat originally from Sydney, Australia, I understand firsthand the emotional complexities of relocating to a new country. I specialize in expat therapy and enjoy supporting individuals and families as they navigate cultural adjustment, identity shifts, homesickness, and the challenges of building a sense of belonging in a new place.
Above all, my goal is to create a space where clients feel accepted as they are, supported in where they want to go, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.

Fiona Kierney, AMFT 153640
Hi there! My name is Fiona, otherwise known as Finn. As a queer, genderfluid therapist my objective is to bridge the gap between human experiences and the clinical practice. Within individuals, couples, or families, the intention is the same: to create a safe, collaborative space.
My background specializes in trauma-informed care with years of experience in grass-roots advocacy for survivors of domestic violence, people experiencing substance use, and queer folks. I implement feminist and somatic techniques to accommodate a wide variety of experiences and presenting issues.
In this therapeutic environment, autonomy, individuality, and lived experiences are valued and heard. My ethos is to provide informed and consistent care: whether it be navigating daily life, identity exploration, or adversity my intention is to provide a space where you can be met where you are as your most authentic self.

My therapeutic approach is diverse, pulling from a number of different modalities. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Somatic therapies to further the exploration of the self. My goal as a therapist is to foster a safe, supportive, and caring environment that allows you to grow and meet your therapeutic goals and individual needs. I am well versed in working with clients of neurodiverse backgrounds, such as Autism and ADHD. Furthermore, I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and various other mental health symptoms. I recognize the complexities of life and am here to explore with you, sit with you, and understand you and your story.
Our earliest memories and experiences shape our now and I engage with people in a way that is empathetic, genuine, and compassionate. I want to ensure that clients feel seen, heard, and respected. Be proud of this journey that you are soon to embark on because it takes so much strength to begin again, to reach out for connection, and to tell your story. Thank you for the opportunity to sit with you in this moment and hold space during this time, it is a tremendous honor.

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist Supervised by Shea Phinney, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist 50023
Hi, I'm Jenny! I work with individuals who feel stuck in confusing relationships, struggling after a breakup, or caught in the same emotional patterns on repeat. A lot of my clients overthink, feel intensely, and constantly question whether they’re too much – or not enough. They feel trapped in their heads, second-guessing their emotions or unsure how to connect without losing themselves.
Therapy with me is honest, grounded, and supportive – not confusing or overly clinical. I’ll be in your corner, but I’ll also be real with you – even when it’s uncomfortable. Together, we’ll slow things down, make sense of your emotions, and connect the dots between your patterns and your relationships. If you’re tired of overthinking, spiraling, or chasing clarity from the wrong places, let’s build self-trust, stability, and relationships that actually feel secure.
I am a bilingual Associate Clinical Counselor. I speak Spanish fluently. I received my Masters from Capella University. I also have my certification in Addiction Counseling. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families, ages of clients have ranged from 4 years old to 65 years old. I am currently not taking any clients under the age of 17.
My experience thus far has been gained from working with individuals and families impacted by addiction; children, adolescents, adults and families who have experienced or have been impacted by sexual assault, as well as school based therapy for children, adolescents and families. The following list of theories I most closely align with is not exhaustive but includes Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, and the comprehensive resource model. I believe in implementing various techniques and strategies that are unique to each individual as every one is so distinctly different and have their own needs.
I aim to provide a space where you find understanding, honesty and never feel judged. I look forward to being a part of your mental health journey.

Tina Javidi, APCC
Hi, I’m Tina. I’m an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor.
Conversations can feel difficult to navigate, especially when you find yourself overthinking or replaying them afterward. Together, we can take time to understand what’s happening and find ways to communicate that are clearer and more true to you.
I support adults experiencing ADHD, OCD, and autism, as well as social anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, and communication and relationship challenges. My approach draws from CBT, mindfulness, parts-based, and values-based work. I provide a neurodiversity-affirming and culturally responsive space where you can speak openly and feel understood. We also look at how these patterns show up across work, relationships, and day-to-day habits, and find ways of responding that feel easier to come back to in the moment.
I see therapy as a place to better understand your relationship with yourself and how that shapes how you connect with others. Much of this work happens in small, everyday moments. In sessions, we focus on making sense of your experiences and how they affect your thoughts, emotions, and behavior, at a pace that feels manageable. There is also space to explore questions about meaning, purpose, and what matters most to you.

Julia Gothold, AMFT
Are you feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you—whether that’s gambling, drinking, shopping, or staying in a life that feels comfortable but unfulfilling? You’re not alone. Many of us develop ways to cope with pain, but over time, those strategies can begin to hurt more than they help.
I bring both clinical training and lived experience to my work, offering a compassionate understanding of how we cope, avoid, and ultimately heal. My own journey has been shaped by the support of meaningful therapy, where I found hope, tools, and lasting change. That experience continues to inform the way I show up for my clients.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, DBT, CBT, and others, while tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. I specialize in working with creatives, individuals struggling with addiction (including compulsive gambling and substance use), trauma, self-esteem, and life transitions. I also work with couples and have completed Gottman Level 1 training, supporting partners in improving communication, rebuilding trust, and strengthening connection. I am affirming of neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ identities, and welcome adolescents and adults of all backgrounds.
In my personal life I enjoy making music and singing, walking my Miniature Schnauzer around different parks and trails, and traveling.
I offer a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported—without judgment. It’s a privilege to walk alongside you in your healing process.

Individual Therapy
Life can feel overwhelming, confusing, or simply heavier than it needs to be. Individual therapy offers a space to talk things through, gain perspective, and work on the things that matter most to you, at your own pace.
Stress, Anxiety & Life Transitions
Stress shows up in many forms, work pressure, major decisions, parenting demands, or unexpected changes. Therapy can help you slow down, develop practical coping strategies, and regain a sense of steadiness during difficult or transitional periods.
Mindfulness Coaching
For those wanting to feel more present and connected, mindfulness can be a helpful part of therapy. We integrate simple, practical approaches to help you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, without pressure or perfection.
Couples Counseling
Relationships can be deeply meaningful and deeply challenging. Couples counseling is a space to improve communication, rebuild trust, and better understand one another whether you’re working through conflict or wanting to feel closer.
Somatic Therapy
Stress and trauma don’t only live in our thoughts — they can show up in the body as tension, fatigue, or feeling stuck or disconnected. Somatic therapy helps you tune into physical sensations and responses to better understand how your body holds stress. This approach supports nervous system regulation and can help you feel more grounded, present, and at ease.
Divorce, Separation & Child Custody Support
Divorce and custody-related situations can be emotionally complex and legally sensitive. We provide therapeutic support and clinically informed services to individuals, parents, and families navigating separation, co-parenting challenges, and custody-related concerns. Our approach is neutral, child-focused, and grounded in clinical best practices.
Family Therapy
Families evolve, and sometimes struggle along the way. Family therapy supports healthier communication, clearer boundaries, and improved understanding between family members during times of stress or change.
Art Therapy
Sometimes words aren’t enough. Art therapy provides an alternative way to express emotions, experiences, and inner thoughts through creative processes. You don’t need to be artistic — the focus is on expression, not skill. Art therapy can be especially helpful for exploring feelings, building self-awareness, and processing experiences in a gentle, nonverbal way.
Immigration Psychological Assessments
We offer psychological evaluations in support of immigration-related matters. These assessments are conducted with care, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity, and follow appropriate clinical and ethical standards. Our goal is to provide thorough, objective documentation while ensuring clients feel respected and supported throughout the process.
Trauma Therapy
Trauma can affect how we think, feel, and relate to others — sometimes long after an experience has passed. Trauma therapy offers a supportive space to process difficult experiences safely and at your own pace. Our approach is gentle, collaborative, and focused on helping you regain a sense of stability, control, and connection in your daily life.

Elizabeth Kearney
Hello! My name is Elizabeth Kearney and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2011 with my Masters in Social Work. My desire to become a therapist came from wanting to serve and better understand human relationships. Most of my pre-licensed experience was working in community mental health with children and families. Those experiences taught me so much about looking for the underlying issues that can contribute to current dysfunction in people's lives. I have received extensive training in trauma therapy such as EMDR, TFCBT, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Since being licensed and in private practice, my focus has been on treating women with traumatic childhoods. It is a gift to be able to witness someone see their worth and know that their past does not have to define their future. Currently, I am transitioning my practice to focus more on the postpartum, pregnancy loss, and perinatal periods/experiences for women. My goal as a therapist is to help my clients feel seen, heard, and supported. My personal belief is that if a human being can be heard and seen there can be dramatic change possible in the therapeutic relationship. Together, my clients and I can process grief, manage anxiety and depression, heal from loss, and find ways to move forward with hope and meaning.
My goal as a therapist is to help you heal from the past, feel strong in the present and move into a healthier future. I will work with clients to find healthy coping skills, learn to communicate what they really need, and into a place where they can enjoy life again.
In my personal life, I am a wife and mother to two littles. I enjoy being in nature, reading, camping, and spending time with those I love.
